KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Manzoor Hussain Memon has revised the customs values of Chemicals vide Valuation Ruling No794/2016.
The trade community was demanding revision in prices of chemicals, claiming to downward trend in their prices in international market.
Accordingly, to ascertain the current prices prevailing in the international market and exercise to determine the customs values of chemicals was under taken.
The customs value of boric acid under PCT 2810.0020 all origins will be $0.84/KG; aluminium oxide under PCT 2818.000 all origins except China will be $1.40/KG; aluminium oxide of China will be $1.20; chromic acid/ chromium trioxide (all grades) under PCT 2819.1000 of China will be $1.90/KG; chromic acid/ chromium trioxide (all grades) all origins except China will be $3.20/KG; barium chloride under PCT 2827.3900 of China will be $0.47/KG; sodium meta bisulphite under PCT 2832.1090 of China will be $0.322/KG; sodium hexa meta phosphate (40% and below) under PCT 2835.3900 of China will be $0.75/KG; sodium hexa meta phosphate (41% and above) under PCT 2835.3900 of China will be $1.0/KG; sodium hexa meta phosphate (food grade) under PCT 2835.3900 of Thailand will be $1.20/KG; borax decahydrate under PCT 2840.1900 all origins will be $0.5/KG; brown aluminium oxide under PCT 2818.2000 of China will be $0.88/KG; sodium acid pyrophosphate (food grade) under PCT 2835.3900 of China will be $0.80/KG and values of sodium acid pyrophosphate (food grade) under PCT 2835.3900 of Thailand will be $0.90/KG.
