KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Manzoor Memon has revised the values of Aluminum beverage cans vide Valuation Ruling No797/2016.
The importers of Aluminum Beverage Cans have agitated against the customs values of Aluminum Beverage Cans determined vide Valuation Ruling No.730/2015 mainly on the ground that the values of the subject goods are traded in the international market at lower prices.
M/s Murree Brewery preferred to file CP against the subject Ruling before the High Court of Sindh, Karachi. Thus, with a view to ascertain the correct prices prevailing in the international market, an exercise to determine the Customs values of the subject goods afresh was taken up.
The values of aluminum beverage can printed (250ml) under PCT 7612.9010 imported from UAE, Turkey and China have been fixed at $7.80/KG;
Values of aluminum beverage can printed (300ml, 330ml, 355ml) under PCT 7612.9010 imported from UAE, Turkey and China have been fixed at $6.20/KG;
Values of aluminum beverage can printed (500ml) under PCT 7612.9010 imported from UAE, Turkey and China have been fixed at $6.75/KG.
