KARACHI: The Director of Customs Valuation Manzoor Hussain Memon has revised the Customs values of several chemicals and acids and issued several valuation rulings. The Directorate of Customs Valuation has been quite efficient and active led by Memon.
The trade community was demanding revision in the values of several chemicals and acid claiming decline in prices in the international market. Accordingly to ascertain the current price prevailing in the international market, the directorate undertook a major exercise to determine the values of several goods.
Valuation Ruling No. 799/2016 determines the values of Ammonium Bicarbonate under PCT 2836.9930 of China origin at $0.21/KG and supersedes the Valuation Ruling No.580/2013.
Valuation Ruling No. 800/2016 determines the values of Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and it supersedes Valuation Ruling No.695/2014. Customs values of Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate under PCT 3402.1190 of China are fixed at $1.13/KG, of India at $1.2/KG and all other origin at $1.25/KG. Customs values of Sodium Lauryl Sulphate under PCT 3402.1190 of China are fixed at $1.33/KG, of India at $1.4/KG and all other origin at $1.45/KG.
Valuation Ruling No. 802/2016 determines the values of Sodium Sulphate Anhydrous under PCT 2833.1100 of China origin at $0.115/KG; all other origins at $0.130/KG and supersedes the Valuation Ruling No.455/2012.
Valuation Ruling No. 804/2016 determines the values of Methylene Chloride under PCT 2903.1200 of UK origin at $0.65/KG; all other origins at $0.63/KG and supersedes the Valuation Ruling No.679/2014.
Valuation Ruling No. 805/2016 determines the values of Propylene Glycol and it supersedes Valuation Ruling No.592/2013. Customs values of Propylene Glycol (Pharma Grade) PCT 2905.3200 of Korea are fixed at $1.75/KG, of Germany at $2.71/KG, of USA at $1.80/KG, of Singapore at $1.75/KG, of China at $1.50/KG, of South Africa at $1.58/KG and all other origin at $1.75/KG.
Customs values of Propylene Glycol (Industrial Grade) PCT 2905.3200 of Korea are fixed at $1.68/KG, of Germany at $2.61/KG, of USA at $1.75/KG, of Singapore at $1.70/KG, of China at $1.43/KG, of South Africa at $1.48/KG and all other origin at $1.70/KG.
Valuation Ruling No. 806/2016 determines the values of Butyl Acrylate. Customs values of Butyl Acrylate under PCT 2916.1200 of China/ Malaysia are fixed at $1.40/KG, of Saudi Arabia at $1.10/KG, of Germany/South Africa at $1.45/KG and all other origin at $1.42/KG.
Valuation Ruling No. 807/2016 determines the values of Formic Acid and it supersedes Valuation Ruling No.703/2014. Customs values of Formic under PCT 2915.1100 of China 85% manufactured by BSF are fixed at $0.70/KG. Customs values of Formic under PCT 2915.1100 of China 85% manufactured by other manufacturers are fixed at $0.62/KG. Customs values of Formic under PCT 2915.1100 of other origins 85% manufactured by all manufacturers are fixed at $0.70/KG. Customs values of Formic under PCT 2915.1100 of all origins 86% to 87% manufactured by all manufacturers are fixed at $1.2/KG. Customs values of Formic under PCT 2915.1100 of all origins over 89% manufactured by all manufacturers are fixed at $2.0/KG.
Valuation Ruling No. 808/2016 determines the values of Liquid Chloro Paraffin/Chlorinated Paraffin and it supersedes Valuation Ruling No.380/2011. Customs values of Liquid Chloro Paraffin/Chlorinated Paraffin under PCT 3824.9080 of Australia/Europe are fixed at $1.10/KG, of India/China at $0.90/KG and all other origin at $1.0/KG.
