KARACHI: The Anti Smuggling Organization of Model Customs Collectorate (Preventive), Lahore seized smuggled non-duty paid vehicles including cars, auto parts, cloth and other miscellanies goods during the month of January, 2016 valuing Rs.21.652 million.
The seized vehicles include Toyota Camry Car, Honda Accord Car, Toyota Coaster Coach, Toyota Vitz Car and Toyota Land Cruiser.
Cases Valuing Rs.273.49 million have been made during the period July, 2015 to January, 2016 whereas cases valuing Rs.235.578 million were made during corresponding period of last year (2014-15).
On the directions of the Collector of Customs (Preventive), the ASO headed by Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khan Assistant Collector; Munawar Ahmad Khan Superintendent; Saeed Akhtar Joiya, Saleem Akhtar and Ejaz Rasool Shah Deputy Superintendents; Gulzar Hussain Bhati, Muhammad Khalid But, Amjad Khan, Abdul Ghaffar, Ghulam Hussain Kalas, Shahid Khan, Sajjad Hussain Bukhari, Abdul Hameed Bhatti, Tariq Baig, Muhammad Arif and Asif Nawaz Inspectors have initiated a crackdown against smuggling.
