KARACHI: As per the directives of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Inland Revenue formations hare carrying on an awareness campaign regarding the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme throughout the country.
Latest of it, RTO Sukkur, RTO Faisalabad and RTO Sukkur held seminars with tax practitioners and traders and trade bodies.
The Focal person RTO Sukkur nominated for VTCS Dr.Pervez Ahmed Shar, Additional Commissioner (Hqs), gave a comprehensive and detailed Power Point presentation on VTCS to all the participants highlighting the salient features of the scheme and its benefits. It was briefed that the Scheme offered a rare and golden opportunity to the traders to become part of the tax net and to do their business with ease and comfort without any fear of being audited for next four years.
It was followed by questions and answers/discussion session in which the participants took active part and made useful suggestions. The Chamber and Tax Bar Association were informed that nine teams have been constituted to guide and facilitate the traders’ community. These teams shall provide relevant material and guidance at the door step. The participants assured their full cooperation and support to make the scheme a success
An interactive session on the Scheme was held at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) with Chief Commissioner I.R, Shad Muhammad in the chair. The RTO team present also comprised Dr. Muhammad Akram Khan, Commissioner I.R, Zone-II, Ahsan Raza, Commissioner I.R, BTB and officers/members of taxpayers’ facilitation teams. Among the participants were members of the FCCI as well as representatives of various trade associations.
Regional Tax office, Hyderabad also arranged a seminar for its officers and focal persons, Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Small Traders for Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme. Chief Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Ali Sand, Commissioners Qazi Afzal and Zahoor Panhwar discussed all aspects of the scheme.
