KARACHI: The hearing of a contempt of court proceedings against Additional Collector, Customs, Hyderabad and others was adjourned till Friday, Feb 19 by a divisional bench of High Court of Sindh here Wednesday.
The bench comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Sadiq Hussain Bhatti earlier head the counsel for applicant/petitioner who maintained that despite orders of the Court, the seven vehicles of the petitioner are not being released while other vehicles of same description and type imported by others were being released. He also submitted that issue of classification is not involved and issue is that whether the vehicles are adapted or not.
The counsel for petitioner/applicant also alleged that alleged contemner made a misleading statement before the court. To a query he said that vehicles include four Cement/Concrete Mixer and Prime Movers.
As there was paucity of time, the bench adjourned hearing till Feb 19 when it will hear arguments by counsel for alleged contemners.
