KARACHI: MCC Appraisement East and MCC Preventive held a ceremony to honor Collector Appeals Lahore, Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah at Customs House Karachi.
Dr. Aif Jah has been conferred Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan for his services for the social welfare.
Dr. Asif Jah is the first and only FBR officer who has been awarded with this honor. The ceremony was attended by Chief Collector Zahid Khokhar, Collector Ashad Jawwad, Collector Export Saifuddin Junejo, Additional Collectors Irfan Wahid, Khalid hussain Jamali, Feroz Alam Junejo and many other officers. Shaikh Khalid Tawwab, Zubair Tufail, Arshad Farooq, Tariq Shaikh from Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) were also present.
Zahid Khokhar speaking on the occasion said that it was an honor for the FBR that an officer of this institutions was conferred with Siatara-e-Imtiaz.
Dr. Asif Jah runs Customs Health Care Society, which has established a lot of hospitals and clinics in the remote areas of the country, educational institutions across the country as well as Community & Welfare Centers in the country including Thar.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Asif Jah that the activities of the Society are being sponsored by philanthropists and God fearing people.
The Society looks up to other public-spirited affluent men and men for making generous contributions towards alleviating the sufferings of their less fortunate brethren including earthquake/floods victims and humanity in distress at large.
