KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Yousuf Ali Sayeed on Monday deferred the order in an application moved by Adamjee Pharmaceuticals.
Aqeel Ahmed Khan advocate appearing for the petitioner/applicant prayed for the release of security deposited with the Nazir of SHC.
The tribunal has ordered in favor of the petitioner and no appeal has been filed in the mandatory period.
To a query by the bench he reiterated that the show cause as well as Order in Original has been quashed by the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal.
As no one appeared for the department, the bench inquired from Ilyas Ahsan, Principal Appraiser for Law.
The said departmental representative volunteered to communicate the order of the court to the Customs Preventive, the respondent concerned.
The bench then on the request of departmental representative fixed Jan 25 as next date of hearing to decide the application for return of surety.
