KARACHI: Justice Shafi Siddiqui of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Tuesday suspended the guide line issued by Director, Valuation, Pakistan Customs in respect of edible items.
The single judge was hearing a suit filed by the M.M. Enterprises which imported a consignment of edible items from different parts of the world. The customs instead of assessing the value as per Valuation Ruling assessed the consignment on the basis of guideline issued by the respondents including Director Valuation.
Applying the rule of consistency, the judge while suspending the impugned guideline also ordered release of the consignment. Rafi Kamboh advocate represented the plaintiff/importer.
